Finishes what is actually a two-volume work

This book was intended to be a companion volume to Mr. Connor's earlier "Listen To His Legacy". It adds further recordings, information, and revisions, to make "Legacy" even more complete. "Wrappin' It Up" is interesting, but not really useable on it's own. See "Listen To His Legacy" , and my review of it, here:

The two books together make the most complete Benny Goodman discography available, and that will likely ever be available. No one else has taken on the task of trying to improve on Mr. Connor's vast work. D. Russell Connor passed on shortly after "Wrappin" It Up" was published. He was an avid fan and personal friend of Benny, and dedicated himself for many years to making these books complete.

A masterpiece

An incredible book. One of the most outstanding it it's kind. Mr. Connor really knows what he's talking about and has been the nr.1 Benny Goodman-expert for at least 40 years.No Goodman-fan should live without it. I recommend this book and give it 10 stars J.J.Gjedsted
