About the Author
Charles E. Claghorn became interested in studying the Revolutionary War because his ancestor, William Claghorn, was captain of a privateer ship. A member of several patriotic/hereditary organizations, including The Sons of the American Revolution, he is past Chapter President. He is also the author of Women Composers & Hymnists (Scarecrow, 1984)
